    • Parameters

      • target: number
      • start: number
      • end: number

      Returns void

    • Release any backing memory and detach from its allocator. After dispose the buffer must not be used again. Call it when a column is permanently discarded (e.g. replaced during archetype.fromData) so an arena allocator reclaims the block and drops the buffer's needsRefresh subscription.

The default is a no-op — buffers with no linear storage (const, JS-array) hold no allocator resources. Storage buffers override it.
